UVC LED stands for Ultraviolet C Light-Emitting Diode – i.e. an LED that emits ultraviolet light within the UVC spectrum. UVC light is known for its ability to inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, rendering them harmless. UVC LEDs are ideal for use in water disinfection units, where they can effectively disinfect water.
