UVC LED

  • UVC LED stands for Ultraviolet C Light-Emitting Diode – i.e. an LED that emits ultraviolet light within the UVC spectrum. UVC light is known for its ability to inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, rendering them harmless. UVC LEDs are ideal for use in water disinfection units, where they can effectively disinfect water.

  • In contrast to conventional UVC lamps, UVC LEDs contain no mercury, which makes them more eco-friendly and easier to handle. In addition, UVC LEDs have a longer service life and are more energy-efficient. They are also more compact and therefore easier to integrate. Another advantage is that there is no warm-up time – UVC LEDs start working immediately.

Watersprint Core®

  • Watersprint Core® is an innovative UVC LED water disinfection system that is installed at the point of entry for the household’s water supply system. The UVC light inactivates the microorganisms’ DNA and RNA, which renders harmless bacteria, viruses and other harmful pathogens in the water. The innovative design optimizes the use of UVC light, ensuring peak disinfection performance. Flow rate capacity up to 105 l/min depending on model and operating conditions.

  • Yes, with its highly compact design compared to conventional UV lamp systems, it can be installed as a retrofit solution for most water installations.

  • The control unit is equipped with indicator lamps that show when the system is turned on and when the disinfection process is active.
