UVC LED stands for Ultraviolet C Light-Emitting Diode – i.e. an LED that emits ultraviolet light within the UVC spectrum. UVC light is known for its ability to inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, rendering them harmless. UVC LEDs are ideal for use in water disinfection units, where they can effectively disinfect water.

In contrast to conventional UVC lamps, UVC LEDs contain no mercury, which makes them more eco-friendly and easier to handle. In addition, UVC LEDs have a longer service life and are more energy-efficient. They are also more compact and therefore easier to integrate. Another advantage is that there is no warm-up time – UVC LEDs start working immediately.

The system consists of a flow chamber in which water is exposed to UVC LED light. The innovative design utilizes materials, mechanics and fluid dynamics to optimize the use of UVC, ensuring peak disinfection performance.

Yes, Watersprint Solo® can be used as a standalone unit.

Thanks to the external flow sensor and control unit, the LEDs are activated automatically when water flow is detected. In contrast to other UV light sources, LEDs work at full output immediately, which means the water is disinfected from the moment the flow starts.

The control unit has indicator LEDs that indicate when the system is turned on and when disinfection is active.
